4K HDR and HEVC

MAG520 easily handles 4K HDR 60 fps content2 and supports HEVC and other modern codecs enabling operators to deliver high-resolution content even over low-bandwidth networks. It takes a 32 Mbps connection to watch an H.264-encoded 4K video stream, while the HEVC-encoded one requires half as much bandwidth.3

Advanced API for apps and
integrations

Infomir has created an API to facilitate integration with CAS/DRM and app development. The apps for the Linux-based MAG set-top boxes are developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Infomir provides extensive documentation for developers' convenience. There are no limitations as to apps' purpose: operators can make apps for their middleware, and system integrators can develop software for hotels, cruise ships, and rotational camps.
